Professor Allan received her BFA in Graphic Design and Advertising from the Ecole Academie Charpentier in Paris, valedictorian of her class, and graduated from the UCLA School of Film with an MFA in Animation. At UCLA she taught the graduate level introductory class in Animation.

She has worked internationally as a graphic designer since 1992. She worked for Roundel Design Group, one of London's top 10 design firms, and in Paris for clients including the Chateau de Versailles Museum. She has also worked as a digital animator for children's television in Los Angeles.

Michele has directed and animated three independent short films. Her film "Facade" won the Gold Plaque at the 1999 Chicago International Film Festival.
