Marisela R. Chávez earned her Ph.D. in History from Stanford University, specializing in Chicano/a, women's, and 20th Century U.S. history. Her research focuses on Chicana political activism and Chicana feminisms in the 1960s and 1970s. She teaches a variety of courses, including The Chicano/a Movement, The Americas, and U.S. Women of Color Feminisms. When she is not teaching, grading, or coming up with snazzy new lectures and inventive classroom activities, she enjoys spending time with her family.
